Taipei, Taiwan – The commercialization of 5G drove the rapid development of IoT and also created a variety of new applications due to the need for smart surveillance and edge computing; however, power transmission cannot be deployed for all applications. With the help of the PoE (Power over Ethernet) technology, network cables now have the new function of transmitting power, reducing the difficulty for deploying smart surveillance and edge computing equipment significantly; this also drove the development of IP surveillance cameras, VoIP phones, wireless AP and smart lighting. So it can be expected that the PoE technology will be widely applied in the IoT era and will make our lives much better.

In response to the different PoE switch specifications, FSP released 48V and 54V adapters comply with IEEE 802.3af (PoE), IEEE 802.3at (PoE+) and IEEE802.3bt (PoE++) architectures standard and output wattages ranging from 30W to 270W, satisfying the application needs of different switches. FSP has long-term cultivation in the smart surveillance and edge computing fields, serving and helping tier-one customers satisfy their different needs and adjustments for product developments. This allowed FSP to accumulate the ability to resolve different R&D problems and provide different kinds of PoE switch solutions.

The FSP XXX-DFAN3, FSPXXX-AFAN3, FSPXXX-DWAN3, and FSPXXX-AWAN3 series models were tailored for all PoE switches available in the market. All of the series complies with the latest IEC/EN/CB 62368-1 safety regulations and have a high 89% efficiency. They have high stability with 6KV surge protection to ensure the continuity and safety of the input power, providing stable power transmission for the PoE switches and terminal equipment they are connected to.
